Experience, learn, participate: your voluntary service in Germany

A long-term Voluntary Service in Germany gives you the opportunity to gain work experience, learn about the German culture and language, and actively support exciting projects - with pocket money, insurance and educational support.

About Us

A “Freiwilligendienst” (voluntary service) consists of part or full-time voluntary work and an educational programme over a limited period of time between 6 and 18 months. It is performed in a social or ecological institution hand in hand with an accredited voluntary services agency like us. During your voluntary service you receive a pocket money, as this form of voluntary commitment is being promoted by German government.

Voluntary services have been developed for educational purposes and are therefore being constantly supervised by our educational staff. They also serve the public welfare as well as promoting international understanding.

Many young Germans use the opportunity of voluntary work as a period of time-out and career orientation after school. In doing so, voluntary programmes also offer striking opportunities to develop yourself and find your own way.
